Have faith In President Bush

I am and will always be a Republican I will always support the Party of Lincoln and will fight to defend our great Constitution from enemies. But the last few months I have been forced to contemplate and agonize over how some in my own party don’t have the guts to stand with the President when he needs them the most. I have hundreds of books and articles praising the President. These Republicans and Conservative Commentators that praised and stood by him when he had high poll numbers, run from him know and treat him with disrespect when he has low poll numbers (not as low as Congress’ 15%). We don’t know how to circle the wagons in defense of our own, we would rather attack each other in some vain attempt to show that we are independent and that we have our own voices. It gets us nothing but grief, disunity, and contempt for each other. When we stop working together we only become easy prey for the Democrats and they pick us off one by one when we show weakness and disunity. An example is the 2006 election where Conservative Commentators had very few good things to say about Republicans and they didn’t help energize the base enough to make a difference in the election and we lost. We can not continue spreading hard feelings toward the President and any other Republicans just because you don’t always agree with them. We must stand together so we can defeat our misguided, out of touch political enemy so we can defeat the Islamofascists bent on our destruction.

Note to all Republicans and Conservatives:

We must be steadfast in our support of the President and the War in Iraq, if we go wobbly now when we are so close to victory will have shown the enemy that we are nothing but a paper tiger.

Losing faith just for political gain will be the weakest thing the Republican Party has ever done. The Democrats don’t know how to and don’t care to defend this country by any means necessary. They have this mind set that this is not a real war with real people trying to kill us. They think that how you fight terrorists is to understand them and prosecute them when they do harm to us. And for those who think that Iraq is a lost, just take a moment and think about the Kurds and all of the innocent men, women, and children that will die if we withdraw and lose faith in our ability to win. If we lose the will to continue just think about all the people that are longing for freedom they will lose hope that the great America can’t help them achieve independence. But first we must stop the negativity and start supporting one another. The President has done so much for us it’s time now to show him that no matter what we will protect and defend him. I like what Benjamin Franklin said when the Delegates where signing the Declaration " In deed we must all hang together other wise we will most assuredly hang separately ." Words we Republicans must live by.

What's good for the goose is not good for the gander

The surge must be working or the Democrats would not be going to the extreme of debating all night to pressure Republicans into breaking with the President on Iraq. The President is Commander in Chief not 435 Congressmen who think passing resolution after resolution trying to pressure the President into defeat. The Levin-Reed bill is unconstitutional because it will take the constitutional powers of war decisions out of the President’s hands and into the Defeatocrats hands. We are trying to defend a Democratically elected government from an enemy whose goal is to stop the spread of freedom and to destroy any free people. This war is no different from the war of World War II, we are trying to defeat an enemy who hates freedom and liberate those who yearn for freedom. This war was not started by us but we will, with thanks to this great President continue to take the fight to the Islamofascists.

The Democrats say that they are not satisfied with the Iraqis for not meeting the Congress’ Benchmarks. And they are also upset that the Iraqis are going to take a vacation in August while our troops don’t get one. Well who are they to be upset at a Democratically elected Ally just because they are not meeting all of our benchmarks. While this Democrat controlled Congress has done nothing to fulfill their campaign promises. They said that they would do ethics reform, but they sidestepped full ethics reform because they love their free dinners and trips from lobbyists. They promised to stop the practice of earmarks till they fix the earmarks process but know Senators like Hillary Clinton wants one million dollars for a Woodstock exhibit and the Hawaiian delegation wants money to teach Hawaiians how to use canoes this is not spending our money responsibly and ending a secretive process. Democrats want to stifle the President’s great economy by raising taxes to fund their enslaving social programs. No wonder they have lower poll numbers then the President. They will be going on vacation at the same time that the Iraqi legislature goes, but what’s good for the goose is not good for the gander. They should not lecture our Ally when they are doing the same thing.
